- BE A HONEY & LEARN THE BUZZ ON BEES – Register now for Oct 20 Workshop. Be an apiarist for the day by learning about some of New Mexico’s 500 species of bees, including HONEY BEES! You will learn about bee artistry by studying their honeycomb, how they live their lives and how we need them in our environment. This one day class will fill you in on everything “bees” from plants to pollination, hives, gardens and how to increase their populations and attract them to your garden. – Lunch will be a creative mix of bee reliant fruits and vegetables along with a full meal and tasting, selecting and pairing various local honeys. Takeaways: Using a combination of materials, you will assemble your own native bee house and make a pair of hand dipped beeswax candles. $100 per person. - Gun Violence Prevention Town Hall, Sat. Oct. 13 at 2pm, SITE Santa Fe, Marlene Nathan Meyerson Auditorium, FREE
SITE Santa Fe and New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence team up to present a town hall meeting on gun violence prevention, in collaboration with For Freedoms. Across the country, For Freedoms is helping to organize a 50 state initiative to advocate civic participation through town halls on topics affecting our country.

If you find that you’re on an emotional roller coaster right now and your emotions are often awry, please join us for an evening of EFT Tapping to help you return to a state of emotional well-being. We’ ll meet on Wednesday, October 17 at the Unitarian Universalist Building (at the corner of Barcelona and Galisteo) in the Library from 7:00 – 8:30. There’s a suggested donation of $15. Tapping in a group is powerful and fun, and no prior experience is necessary. You’ll leave with a tool you can use any time to help soothe your emotions.
