  • Lannan Foundation presents Richard Powers, author of 12 novels.  His most recent novel, The Overstory, is a tale of activism and resistance about the secret language of trees and the people they bring together to save them. Tayari Jones’s novels include Leaving Atlanta, Silver Sparrow, and the recent An American Marriage, a 2018 Oprah’s Book Club selection. It’s a Team Fox event to benefit The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, for which 100 percent of proceeds go directly to research projects.

  • Mark you calendars for the next 100 Women Who Care Meeting, Wed. May 2 at 6 pm at the Scottish Rite Temple
  • Miyuki Matthews, a senior at Santa Fe Prep, is organizing a golf tournament called Nine & Dine for Parkinson’s.  Miyuki has a family member with Parkinson’s.  She wanted to do something special for the Parkinson’s community in Santa Fe and took this on for her senior project. The event is Saturday, May 5th at the SF Country Club.  Registration starts at 2pm and the Shotgun Start is at 3pm.
    You can go to NMParkinson.org to register, donate or be a sponsor for this event.
