Seagull-PosterjpgFilm Festival: The short film Seagull, by 2 Cats Productions was selected to show at the Albuquerque Film & Music Experience on Saturday, June 10 at 4PM in the “Women Who Rock” screening at the South Broadway Cultural Center. Writer, Director & Producers Catherine Fridey and Catharine Pilafas, of 2 Cats Productions, spoke at our SFW2W Luncheon in March. They will be touring with Seagull to several European Film Festivals this fall. These two talented and fearless women could use some support. Want to pitch in & help cover their hotel in Edinburgh? Or chip in to pay for their train tickets to Leeds?  Any amount of donation will help. Email me and I’ll put you in touch. Thanks in advance to this wonderfully supportive group of women we have here in Santa Fe!

My sweet son Wyatt (home from college for just a week, now thru June 14, before he leaves for India) is looking to make a little extra $ for his trip. He’s a hard worker. Movie Review: Piuma

Young love and the consequences of un-protected sex make up the story line for this sweet indie Italian film entitled Piuma, which means feather in English. Piuma was the closing film during the CineFesta Italia festival in Santa Fe this June. A roller coaster of emotions occurs between the two young lovers as they try to comprehend just how this unplanned pregnancy will affect their lives and the lives of their dysfunctional parents.

Sharon is known for her amazing accuracy with this mystic science, which is more personally accurate than astrology & numerology, & embodies both of those sciences within it as well.   • At our May 2nd meeting of 100 Women Who Care we voted to support Resolve/Impact, a violence prevention program in New Mexico. At the meeting we also heard presentations from STEM Santa Fe & NM Parkinson’s Coalition – all doing great work in Santa Fe!

Antarctica Ice & Sky with a post film panel discussion will feature scientists from the Los Alamos National Laboratory who study Antarctic ice sheets and their relationship to global climate models.  A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to Climate Masters and the Santa Fe Watershed Association. Trailer for Seagull

Seagull-PosterjpgAt the March SFW2W luncheon, 2 Cats Productions presented the trailer for their new short film, Seagull. In case you missed it, here is the link: https://vimeo.com/209470106

2 Cats Productions is the collaboration between New Mexico Writer/Producer Catherine Fridey & New Mexico Actor/Director Catharine Pilafas. Between the two, they wrote, directed, produced and starred in the six minute short film that they are now hoping to take to film festivals. If you’d like to help these creative and talented women by sponsoring a film fest application fee (anywhere from $25 to $100 per application) they’d love your help.
