Memorial Day Ceremony

Santa Fe National Cemetery Mon, May 28, 10am
The Memorial Day ceremony includes patriotic music and speakers. The cemetery is expecting a large crowd for the event, so staff will assist with traffic control. Attendees are permitted to bring in lawn chairs and blankets to sit on the grassy areas surrounding the rostrum, but no alcoholic beverages are allowed, so leave that cooler at home for later.

Miyuki Matthews, a senior at Santa Fe Prep, is organizing a golf tournament called Nine & Dine for Parkinson’s. Miyuki has a family member with Parkinson’s. She wanted to do something special for the Parkinson’s community in Santa Fe and took this on for her senior project. The event is Saturday, May 5th at the SF Country Club. Registration starts at 2pm and the Shotgun Start is at 3pm.

The Railyard Park Conservancy’s Sand Play Saturday has been offered the cover story of the Santa Fe New Mexican Kid’s Summer special section that comes out in May. They need a small bunch of preschoolers (or a bit older) and their friends and families to come to the Railyard Children’s Park on Saturday, March 31st at 11:00 am for the photo shoot. 100 Kids Who Care in Santa Fe is this Sat. Mar. 31 from 2-3pm Studio Center (formerly Warehouse 21). Students grades 7 – 12, bring $5 to $20 ($5 = 1 vote) and support local non-profits. Together kids can make a difference too!
